Minutes from St. Anne's Christian Women's Meeting, May 12, 2015
St. Anne's Christian Women met on Tuesday May 12, 2015, at the Mary of Immaculate Conception Parish Center in Rockville beginning with 6:00 p.m. meeting, 7 p.m. Mass presided by Father Roger, followed by 7:30 p.m. potluck supper and fellowship hosted by the Rockville parish Christian Women.  President Karen DesAutels called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. with the opening prayer and pledge of allegiance with 17 members present.  Secretary and treasurer's reports were approved as read. Current balance in checking is $814.28 and savings is $4548.90 ($2335.47-Fr. Slominski).

OLD BUSINESS:
Char Volkmuth reported that five Mother Love prayerbooks have been ordered and will be available to any members who wish to purchase one.

The cleaning supplies have a new spot.  They are now stored in the cabinet located to the immediate right in the back of the church.

There was further discussion about having a parish appreciation event for all the parish volunteers. 

The parish council has given it's approval and planning for it will take place at a later date.

Plans to host a tri-parish Christian Women's groups gathering will be discussed at the September meeting.

The annual Food, Fun & Fund Day will take place on June 4th at St. Benedict's parish in Avon.  It will begin with 8 a.m. Mass followed by festivities.

President Karen gave an update on Father Roger's 25th anniversary to the priesthood celebration on Sunday, June 14th.  All plans are in place with each parish in the cluster participating in hosting the day's events, all of which will take place at St. Wendelin's Church and Mary Hall.  Motion was made and seconded to donate $100 toward a gift for Father Roger. 

NEW BUSINESS:
President Karen announced that the annual Diocesan Council of Catholic Women's convention will be held on Saturday, September 19th at St. Mary's parish in Upsala.  Details will be forthcoming.

President Karen gave a report on a home to be built by Habitat for Humanity.  The home is being given the name “Pope Francis House” and a 'wall-raising' ceremony will take place on June 16th.  We have been invited to provide lunch for the workers on one of the days during the building process.  Motion was made and seconded that we do this on a Wednesday that will be designated to us.

COMMISSION REPORTS: None submitted. 

The meeting adjourned at 6:45 with prayer, door prize and prayer partners.  The next meeting will be Tuesday, September 8, 2015.
